The place I chose is on the beach, and the scene was the sunrise on the beach. For me, the sunrise scene by the sea is a moment of great vitality and hope. I also watched the sunrise on the beach when I was a kid. Although the waiting time is extended, the rising sun's light and shock are powerful for me. So, I want to record this moment, so I chose the sunrise by the sea.

I started plain weaving in the order from bottom to top. Next, I knit the outline of the sea's shape at the boundary between the two colors. Secondly, I used rya knots to create sea waves with different threads of different lengths to represent the sea waves layer by layer. Then, I used sky blue yarn to weave the waves on the other side. I used thick white yarn as the dividing line between the sea, the sun, and the sky, imitating clouds. Next, I weave the sky's parts on both sides of the sun and then outline the sun.

For my sample, I started with plain weaving and tried different materials. After that, I also tried combining two different materials to design an irregular weaving curve. I also tried a series of little loops of the threads. Then, I played around with another technique called soumak, using thick white yarn. I also did two knots with orange yarn. For the final part, I continued plain weaving and tried combining the two materials as well.
