The mission is to promote the healing and healthy development of children,  adolescents, and adults who have experienced trauma or loss, and also to develop, evaluate, and disseminate effective prevention, assessment and treatment methods. The goal is to create a place where adolescents can release anxiety and stress, pay more attention to their mental health development, and effectively prevent and treat anxiety disorder.

TI & CTI provides therapy, training, consultation, information, and resources for those who work with trauma-exposed children, adolescents, and adults.

Issue
It’s a normal part of life to experience occasional anxiety.
Anxiety disorders are the most common and pervasive mental disorders in the United States.
Proximately 8% of children and teenagers experience an anxiety disorder with most people developing symptoms before age
21.
Nearly one-third of adolescents had an anxiety disorder.

Private Lounge
The private lounge has a separate leisure seat for adolescents. The chair and sofa are comfortable and soft and suitable for adolescents to relax. Adolescents can enjoy a quiet time without being disturbed by external pressure.
Therapy
The separate therapy space gives adolescents a quiet and private independent room. Adolescents will learn about their current psychological conditions and how to treat them through one-on-one conversations with psychotherapists.
Anonymous Communication
Users can write down their worries anonymously, which will be randomly sent to different users every Saturday. Users can also send to “Tree Hole” anonymously, and “Tree Hole” will be answered by staff and volunteers.

Screaming Stress
The screaming stress with the acoustic ceiling tiles has good sound insulation, and the wall can absorb sound. And with the individual seats.
ACTIVITY 1 & PLAY AREA

The activity and the play area have a dropped ceiling that follows the stairs’ shape. The movable partition in the middle, which separates the two spaces, also brings a multifunctional experience to the area. The activity with a glass window provides interactive space to connect the outside and inside for adolescents.


CORRIDOR

The circulation is playful and open to both side of the space, the infinity shape of the areas are in the middle that connects the two side of the spaces.

CAFETERIA / EVENT

The cafeteria is located with a large floor-to-ceiling window with a good view and creates opportunities for adolescents to interact.

MEDITATION

Provide a quiet and private space for adolescents to have time and space to meditate alone, without being disturbed by stress or anxiety.
